For ten days I pitched my tent in the middle of the Kumbh Mela, one of the largest human gatherings on earth. A temporary city built entirely around faith. Living among the pilgrims rather than passing through gave me access to quiet, unguarded moments. From there I made my way to Varanasi, where this series continues.
